Artists

Sarah, 26 years old, started oil painting when she was 12 years old, taught by local artists. This was prior to her becoming a self taught resin artist!
No stone in the environment is perfect. She embraces imperfection with her free flowing abstract art. Struggling her whole life with anxiety, art was always her outlet.
This passion, now business, has transformed her life. This was a healing journey for her to live her life freely and happily!

Sue Klahne is a retired graphic designer, mother of two grown children, Justin & Taylor, and wife to husband Ray, her greatest supporter. Sue’s paintings are largely inspired by the ocean and the beautiful blue hues which appeal to her senses and inspire her creativity. Much of her work is abstract in nature, using acrylic and often finished with resin. She is a huge advocate for Mental Health Awareness & addiction and aims to break the stigma associated with both. Sue uses art to maintain personal mental wellness in her own life and often donates a percentage of her sales to non-profits such as American Federation for Suicide Prevention. Sue believes God has called her to use her God given talents to help others and give back to organizations about which she is so passionate.

Sophie Ledeme is an expressionist who believes that art is everywhere, that color and shape have their own language vibrating all around us. she received traditional visual arts training in several studios in Paris, France and studied art history at the Louvre. her travels throughout Europe and beyond deepened her appreciation for art and her understanding of the master works of man and nature.
“My creativity is expressed through the power of instinctive imagination guided by a spiritual connection. Colors and shapes project an energy that resonates within and that is linked to a deep superior dimension.”

Rosalind Neilen has only been painting a short time, but combines colors and lines with magic and logic all her own, often incorporating other materials with an astounding resourcefulness.
she only regrets that she didn’t start sooner.
when she isn’t painting, she is cooking with the kids, running her fitness business, or performing hilarious comedy improv.
Thank you Rosalind for organizing this event to support the kids programs at the 10 Street Rec Center in Stuart!

Corina Pelloni is a mixed media and assemblage artist. She also paints, sometimes with oils, sometimes acrylics. her favorite creative moments are those when the process is a dialog between self and world. this experience of being in conversation is heightened in found-object projects, where components accumulate over time. though the acquisition of objects seems random, one day many disparate items coalesce into a new form.motivating themes include dream imagery, archetypes, shamanic principles, natural forces, and the dynamic movement of energy in living beings. these themes energize her creative drive, even when not directly informing a specific work.

Shawna Scarpitti is a fine artist and a board certified registered art therapist.
“The process of making art is in and of itself a healing and cathartic process-it’s art for expression vs. perfection.”
her vibrant two dimensional works are finely textured with delicate layers of tissue paper, carefully and precisely adhered to the canvas with glue, ink and/or paint. Scarpitti’s passion for designing and executing vibrant mixed media on canvas has become her signature style over a decade of creating art.
