resin window class

what makes resin such an irresistible medium?

its versatility! and shine! and maybe how easy it is to add color. or the way it suspends other shiny objects…

if i had you at ‘shiny objects,’ this is your class.

making a resin ‘window’ or frame is a great way to learn more about the material and what you can achieve with it. and, oh, yeah: you’ll have a great time experimenting with textures, shapes and colors.

if you have a frame you want to use, bring it with you. same, for any objects you want to include in the resin.
you are absolutely encouraged to personalize!

otherwise, a frame is included in your purchase of the class. so are the materials to make something unique and awesome.

and so is all the help and support you may want on your artventure.

have you read all the information about this class?
does it sound like your kind of thing?

this is a 2 hour session. all materials are included, but you can also bring some things of your own.

Yes! i am ready to sign-up! (click here.)

materials:

everything you need will be waiting for you. choose a frame when you arrive for class. when you sign-up, you may choose a theme:

  • mad scientist (basement laboratory with notes of steampunk)
  • beach daze (shells, beach glass, sand and such)
  • cosmic unicorn (lots of glitter involved with this one)
  • or you can wing it! (but it’s helpful to choose a ‘direction.’)

you will get a ‘goody bag’ of art supplies based on your theme, and you’ll have access to more materials, too!

the frames available at the shop are in the neighborhood of 8″ x 10″.
if you bring your own frame, please try to keep it to an aperture size of 11″ x 14″ or smaller.

ok for teens, but not for kids

this class can get messy. resin, in particular, does not mix well with small children. this class is recommended for ages 16 and up.
if your youngster gets food on their face and is likely to leave it there for an hour or more, then this is not a good class for them.

please do not sign-up any children under 16 years old. they will not be permitted to attend the class.

you’ll have to come back to pick up your artwork.

the resin will have to cure, and it’s best to leave it overnight. multiple pick-up times are listed for each class.

hopefully, you’ll be excited about your creation, and you’ll want to pick it up as soon as you can. if you’re not that eager, you’ll still have up to a month to come and get it. after a month, no promises!

additional sessions available

want to get more in depth? i totally get it! come back to add layers to an existing project.

some techniques require a first layer of material to cure before more material can be applied. this is a great opportunity to learn what can be achieved by layering effects.

just call to reserve a spot for an additional session.
